Moontrepreneurs – NASA Funded

In this fast-paced team adventure, students become visionary space entrepreneurs, launching their own lunar startup companies in a race for survival, profit, and discovery.

Camp Moonshot

Camp Moonshot is Moonshot Museum’s immersive summer learning experience designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence in the next generation of space explorers, innovators, and storytellers.

Galactic Game Lab

Step into Mission Control Pittsburgh—where gaming meets the galaxy! Experience virtual reality spacewalks, pilot lunar missions, and race on the Moon while discovering how your love for gaming can launch a career in aerospace.

Artemis Adventure: Produced in partnership with NASA

Launch into an out-of-this-world adventure! Experience a planetarium journey to the Moon, Mars, and beyond, explore NASA-inspired STEM careers, and get hands-on with robotics, coding, and more.

Planetarium Show: Moon, Mars, and Beyond

Blast off to the Moon and trace Pittsburgh’s voyages to our next-door neighbor in space. Journey from the clean room to the cosmos in a live, participatory planetarium show.

Cosmic Careers 2: Mission to Planet Earth (VIRTUAL)

Discover how engineers and students are building satellites to support wildlife conservation and climate research from space. This session spotlights diverse careers in orbital missions and includes a Q&A with a space industry professional, showing how experts from many fields contribute to exploring and protecting our planet.

Cosmic Careers 1: Mission to the Moon (VIRTUAL)

Go behind the scenes to follow a robotic lunar lander’s journey from blueprint to build, while discovering the wide range of careers shaping today’s space industry. This engaging session includes a Q&A with a professional from Astrobotic, highlighting how talents from all fields—from biology to art—have a place in space.

Earth Quest (VIRTUAL)

Blast into orbit on a mission to explore Planet Earth. Discover how the latest space missions are taking the pulse of our planet, from ocean chemistry to forest canopies to bird migrations.  Learn how college students are designing and building teams of small satellites to inform global conservation efforts.

Moon Rangers (VIRTUAL)

Early learners blast off with an interactive Moon-themed storytime led by a Moonshot educator, using sound and movement to bring the adventure to life. The journey ends with a view of a real spacecraft under construction and a creative classroom activity to imagine the next page in space exploration.

Mission to the Moon (Small Groups)

Students will blast off with a dynamic presentation featuring Moon geography, thrilling science demonstrations, audience participation, and a close-up look at real lunar spacecraft. Afterward, they’ll rotate through one or two hands-on STEM stations from the National Informal STEM Education Network, with bilingual instructions and volunteer-friendly setup.

Hello Moon! Mobile Storytime

Young explorers join a Moonshot educator for an interactive space-themed storytime filled with sound, movement, and imagination. The adventure ends with a look at a real lunar spacecraft under construction and a creative classroom activity to inspire their own “next page” in space exploration.

Mission to the Moon (Assembly)

Blast off on an action-packed lunar adventure featuring fiery science demos, Mentos rockets, audience participation, and real spaceflight animations. Explore how Pittsburgh-built robots are making Moon missions possible—and how you can play a role in the future of space exploration.

Lunar Engineers

Construct the future! In our most hands-on program, students will partake in small group engineering challenges to design humanity’s future on the lunar surface. Participants will work beside the clean room, where engineers and technicians are building the next lunar explorers!

From the Earth to the Moon!

Blast off to adventure with a 20-to-30-minute theatric science show in our Moonshot Theater filled with engaging demonstrations and audience participation. Built especially for students grades 1-5.

Cosmic Careers

Seeking a high impact program, but short on time? We’ve got you covered! “Cosmic Careers” offers middle and high school students plenty of time for self-guided exploration of the museum gallery.

Lunar Citizens: Mission Experience
